I have a MacBook pro with ableton 8 and just got serato with 2 technics and vestax mixer. Have yorkville powered monitors that I want to hook up for my monitoring system and I don't have an external interface. My question is can you use the serato interface to get sounds out of ableton to the monitors or do I need a separate external interface?
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can. No you dont need another soundcard.
You can use the Serato interface as a soundcard in ableton.

Re: Ableton live 8 and serato**little more help please**
how do I use the serato interface as a soundcard for ableton which is exactly what I'm trying to do? Do I have to change a setting somewhere, etc. When I went to ableton preferences audio, the serato interface didn't show up, just apples internal soundcard option. What are the steps to setting it up in the software or is it a connection issue, as far as how the cables hook up for this option?
thank you.
