recording audio from the net

i want to record audio samples from online into live (or to be more precise as a wav file on my PC) anybody know how to go about doing this, have tried a few times but without any success

got an audio interface with a spdif in and a motherboard with a spdif out? i set my default audio output to use the motherboards spdif out. works great! i suppose you could use the analog outs from your computer too and run a cable into your audio interface.

i over the last half hour managed to get the audio clip i wanted. i very crudely put a cable from a line output on my audio interface around to audio input, after a couple of goes and a bit of seriously screaming feedback managed to record into live what i wanted.

The demo should be more than enough if you want to make short recordings, but i went ahead and bought it just to support this rad program and also to record sets off internet radio &c.

(I don't access the internet with my MacBook, which I use only for making music, and download all updates with a Windows laptop, in case anyone was wondering why I was downloading this app)
