Assign MIDI mapping that's only active when track armed?

Post by nms » Mon Dec 06, 2010 3:22 am

I've never done this, but is it possible to map stuff in a track so that it's only active when the track is armed rather than hard mapped to that controller all the time?

Not straight out of the box.. You would need additional software like bomes or m4l..

you could assign the arm-button and the device's title bar to the same midi button on your controller. Then the device gets selected each time you arm the track. Then you can control the device by live's automapping (blue hand etc.)

my controller is my Virus Ti2, thus.. there are no little hands involved.

it's just causing me problems to have something hard mapped to my mod wheel even when that track isn't armed. Because of course I use my mod wheel on other stuff.
