Memory Corruption 0x5e

Post by metricaez » Sun Sep 19, 2010 5:58 am

Hi everyone there.

I have this problem with live 8.1.3 shuting down as soon as the window opens and shows me a sign that tells about a memory corruption and refers to 0x5e whatever that means.
A friend of mine gave me a 8.0.7 version to try it and it works perfect.
Does anybody know how to fix this ?
Excuse my english, i speak spanish.

Took me 4 months to figure this out and LOTS of searching on the net. After countless uninstall/reinstalls and registry cleaners, the ONLY thing that worked for me was a windows repair-reinstall. If you have the operating system disk that offers a repair without data loss, than you're in good shape, you won't loose your data and won't have to start from scratch. BACKUP anywa. If not, and you can only do a clean reinstall of windows, then save all your data, take a couple days off, do a clean reinstall of windows and reinstall of Live. It will work. I wish I had someone post this for me earlier, would have saved me a lot of headaches and downtime! Hope this works for you too!
