...is just plain wrong. feel free to dig through all his posts and threads to prove your point... you can't, but feel free to waste your time trying. with the exception of his broken logicboard thread what you will find are many examples where he was already reaming one person/nation or another being his typical cockmaster self before i jumped in and called him on it, then we go tit for tat. rinse. change thread.... repeat...
Don't have to do any such searching, you pull up the most blatant example for me, thanks. Piety is an unsavory emotional state IMO, and you're dead guilty of it in regards to your chosen "enemies".

thats one thread.

i meant what i said to him in that thread. you act as though i should regret it. i don't. done.

you love shuffling the quotes around, you just don't love acknowledging them when you're not the one pulling them.

i suppose you can keep trying to paint him as profound and me as guilty if you wish... i wonder if he'd do the same for you :?:

oh and just to make my stance clear on this issue: fuck. dum.

have a day.

I would never bother with either take, again, my only comment here is you're a pot calling a kettle black when it comes to forum flame wars considering you spent at least a year posting in every thread with dum in it about what an awful person he was. It was annoying and distracting, IMO as annoying as dums temper problem, and I stand by that observation.

Cool you learned a new word.
If you're wondering here's why I used it.
That is, according to some, if one is "truly" pious (in the spiritual sense), the natural and inevitable result of it will be religious piety. By this definition, then, piety can be either genuine, in that it springs from spiritual piety, or false, in that it is an attempt to exhibit the signs of piety for their own sake, or for some other reason, (such as propitiation or public esteem).

I dunno. I kinda got a kick out of the times when dum would tell H2O to 'blow me', and H2 would post that dude on the windy beach with an umbrella blow out.

Then again, I'm easily amused like a 5yr old.

Meh, I don't get people bemoaning the loss of dum/b0unce. He was ALWAYS an asshole. And IIRC never contributed anything humor-wise or music-wise.

I mean, at least sychro amused us with photoshopped apc's even if he has become a walking Apple / :x annoyance.

I'm fairly certain that Ableton has lost some sales because people come here looking to evaluate the experience and attitude of Ableton Live and instead of seeing anything good they found a bunch of lousy frat boys who act like they are on crack or happy pills and masturbating themselves with awkward memes they made up in a lame attempt at getting attention.

I think Ableton should be rid of the Lounge and enforce etiquette elsewhere.

fixies.

:x

But seriously, I don't think that people truly base their decision on the goings on in the community, let alone the lounge. I'd be certain their decisions have more to do with the actual product. They don't have to participate in this nonsense if they don't want to. Or if they do, they can certainly limit their exposure and level of involvment, like everyone.

"Every"... That's a big word and light years from the truth.

And what color is the iron skillet calling the pot and the kettle? We can all see that clearly some part of you must enjoy this type of banter now that you've made me dum and you're... H2Only???

High 5?

I'm fairly certain they made a lot of sales, and held on to shameless DAW sluts like me because their policy on moderation and treating people like children is lax and laid back.
In fact I would go as far as to say Abeton run the best "company" forum I've ever seen, with a total dislike of disipline and respect for their potential and paying customers, even ones who complain about their product all the time. This definitely appeals to me as I've seen forums die and waste away due to moderators getting heavy handed. Osxaudio.com died a bit because of that, and though I visit it still, motunation is heavily moderated to the point of silliness. When people whine about this place they really should try to have a discussion about hardware and software on a place like KVR to see what a real unfounded ego driven flame war looks like.

Where does David say that dum is gone, 'but for good this time.'

:?:

Honest to fuck, say what you will about dum, but the dude knew his way around fucking proxies. Has anyone ever tired to use them? They are unreliable as shit and a bitch to use. Plus, most are constantly rotating.

dom banned him every single time in the past, and it wasn't just a username block. It was a full php IP address ban. Which gets me back to 'but for good this time'.

Did they threaten dum with full disclosure of name and address?
