Problem when creating loop from sample

Post by Beau » Mon May 23, 2005 6:03 pm

I am having trouble when trying to create a seemless loop from a captured sample. My proceedure is this: I start my outboard synth from Live and capture the sample into a stereo track. The sample contains some echo so I play it longer than the loop length. I then split the end that exceeds the loop length and repaste it into the beginning of the loop thus carrying over the echo. But my problem occurs when I consolidate the new loop. On playback I get a little stitch no matter how many times I try to recapture the sample. Any thoughts? (BTW the stitch is at the beginning of the loop, not at the seam of the two parts of the sample which transitions just fine)

you may need to change the attack using the volume envelope.or zoom right into the begining and move the start point so that the click dont play.
