OT: Liverpool vs Milan

Post by Benshik » Thu May 26, 2005 8:10 am

(Sorry for the post about football)

Yesterday's final was just unbelievable!!!
I was really happy to see Liverpool win coz they showed so much passion, guts and courage and they were the kinda outsiders... And the luck was on their side...

But most of all, I must shyly admit that once again I felt the sadistic pleasure of seeing the Italians lose. Dunno, it was the same in the Euro 2000 final against France, when over-confident Italians lost to France at the very last minute. I was jubilating.
No offence to Italians on this board, but could you tell me why the open, great and friendly country of yours can have such arrogant and capricious football players?? Do you treat them too well? I mean, they are really good also, but I jus can't help it: I am kinda happy to see them lose...

Sorry, I had to confess...

Ben

An amazing game with an amazing comeback and nice to see the right team winning on penalties for once.

Blimey I've forgotten how bad that was. Releasing pre-cup final songs seems to have gone out of fashion these days.

World In Motion - now there was a football song. Barnes's rap?

World in motion was a wicked tune!! :D

The Barnes rap sucked big time, but in the comforting arms of nostalga it can be forgiven!!

Not a liverpool fan, but what a game!!!!!
Coming back from 3-0 . Thats some team Spirit. The pub i was in went fuckin' nuts at the end!!!!

Liverpool city centre went insane last night, I went driving round just watching everyone go mental.

I've never seen the city like that!

You guys should have seen Istanbul during the past few days. Liverpool fans are still on the street here, singing songs along with Turks! It's crazy!!

Very happy that Liverpool beat Milan!
They were too damn lucky against PSV in the semi-finals (as they always are).
