sys ex pass thru

Post by citric_acid » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:02 pm

Hi,

the nicest thing will be , if Live can work with sysex or can pass sysex thru.
that means if i use a controller/editor for external midi gear that the controller sends sysex to live and pass this direct thru to the hardware ( synthesizer).

or a full sysex implementation will be verry cool.

when this will be happen, live will be the best tool for midi and Daw things.

please work on it !!!!! Please !!!

I agree. I also find it very frustrating that when working with things external like my shriuthi-1 or my genoqs Nemo I cannot send or receive sysex in Windows 7 32 bit in Ableton. It is my number one request for a new feature because it is the only thing that makes me go back to other products. Yes there is midiox, but I want my externals bundled inside my projects and it would be great for live work as well. Why this has remained a problem since Live 1.0 is odd as it impacts so many musicians. Why keep external gear? Frankly laptop performances are boring and external, integrated machines are a lot of fun for tweaking and live improv for me and audiences.
