Ghosting channels like in Flstudio

Post by simono » Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:02 am

Hello forum!

I recently decided to make the switch from Flstudio to Live. I know Flstudio like the back of my hand and the transition is rough. I do feel Live will be vastly superior to my needs in the end. The one feature I miss the most so far is the ability to "ghost" channels. Let me explain what this means. I would have two tracks of midi stuff stacked on top of eachother in arrangement view. In Flstudio, while editing track nr. 2 I would be able to see the notes of track nr. 1 overlayed on the notes of track nr. 2 in a sort of bleakish color. I liked this feature because it allowed me to keep track of the harmony of the song aswell as enabling me to orientate in my tracks. Now to my question.

Is there anyway of doing this in ableton live 8?

Any tips greatly apreciated
Simono.

I don't know the answer to your question but as an ex-FL user myself I would definitly like to know if this is possible!
