SAMPLER : ability to midi map loop points
It's the only thing missing in this beast.
Also the only thing which would make me buy it.
Come on abes ! What happenned in your mind to let such a thing undone ???

Re: SAMPLER : ability to midi map loop points
what about using M4L???
it really does suck.
came across this thought it was good stuff : http://www.heatercore.net/2010/12/sampl ... ness-.html
sure would be useful to be able to midi map those loop points...

Re: SAMPLER : ability to midi map loop points
there are workarounds, but all of them mean you sacrifice some kind of control - pitch bend, mod, aftertouch etc.. not good really. i'm pretty sure that Sampler will have a decent overhaul for Live 9. it's way overdue one.chapelier fou wrote:no there is not.
Re: SAMPLER : ability to midi map loop points
i think the reason why loop points are not assignable is because sampler is a multi sampler where different samples can be assigned different loop points. there is no global control over all the samples loop points as such. you can assign the ptich bend and mod wheel to loop start and loop end or sample ofset.
Simplers loop points are totally assignable and if you want to use loads of them you can in multi-sample mode when racked up in racks. that way you could assign the same rotarys the control loop points on various simplers, potentially giving you the control your after.
not a bad idea, although might take a long time to make. you could make one instance of simpler with all the assignments then copy it, makes me think ableton need to introduce the whole "copy mapping to siblings' etc.
