Moving start marker while playing/DJing

I'm using Ableton 7LE (hoping to go to full 8 with some Xmas cash!) and an APC40.
Here's my simple noob problem.
A song is playing - the start marker is at 1.1.1
The song is playing and currently at 164.1.1 (or wherever - doesn't matter)
I want to move the start marker to 65.1.1 to trigger it from that point later on with the APC40.
But if I move the start marker while the song is playing, the music skips around.
Is there some way to move the start marker without affecting whats currently playing?

Copy the clip, move the start marker in the second one, then trigger it. Otherwise the only other way would be to manually clip in the clip waveform view at 65.1.1 at the right time to instantly jump there.
