OK, so I've finally figured out how to add a second sample to a single pad, you press the add button on the Maschine controller above the display. But this is very basic layering, still haven't found out how to have individual control over each sample.
1) Any way to do add a second sample to a pad on the GUI with the mouse?
2) How do you alternate displaying the waveform of each sample? I can only get it to display one of the samples.
3) Any way to have different envelopes, volume, or FX on a single pad for the samples?
Layering in Maschine
Re: Layering in Maschine
Easy layering with individual control of everything for each layer is coming in the 1.6 update with the new new Pad Link feature which is a dynamic layering setup where a single pad can be set as the master to trigger the other pads while the other pads can still be triggered on their own.

You can add new samples in the "Map" tab of the Sampler tab. You have to shrink the existing samples mapping areas, so you can drag
the new sample to an empty (non-mapped) area of the mapping editor. Otherwise it'll replace a sample if you drop over an existing sample/mapping.
Then if you make the mapping areas overlap you'll have the sounds layered. A bit weird because on the controller you can add the samples so that
they get layered automatically (overlapping mappings).
You can't have separate effects per layer, but you can edit Tune, Gain, Pan, Attack and Decay for each layer/mapping.

Oh and to switch the sample you see in the edit tab, just select the sample you want in the Map tab.
