Sound design: Explosion

Post by Vibrations » Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:12 pm

I want an evolving sound to end up with an explosion.
Any hints?

if you got operator, i would layer some very low pitched noize looped wavforms oscilators, then for big blast some redux or distortion, and some chorus for the flangy motion effect.

I am using the Operator, a Redux, a Saturator and the Large Space Chorus Reverb preset.

Thank you.

double the signal and transpose / use some extreme eq to get some sub-bass below the normal signal
