problem importing loops from Ableton to Cubase

Post by ud dude » Thu Dec 23, 2010 9:28 pm

I have a track (full song) that I want to extact a drum beat from.

I used Ableton to isolate a 2 bar section where the drums are soloed, then I warped, looped and cropped the sample perfectly, I exported it as audio.

Then imported it into my cubase project. The loop is not right the start and end points of the audio loop that I import to Cubase is not the same I what I heard in Live

I did this while live 8.1 was running in rewire slave mode to cubase 5.5

what did I do wrong?

there's a lot you could have done wrong. re-read the manual section closely. did you export from Arrange view with the loop selected with the selection bar?

live never exports accurately for me i always have to bounce 2 bars and chop the first off later because it always has like a volume fade or a timing glitch at the start of every bounce ... easiest way to pick it it up is to render a 4x4 kick loop you notice it really badly with them
