I'm usually not one to recommend "run a search" to a question; however there is so much one can do with an iPad and music that could be complimentary with Live: from pure controllers like TouchOSC and s1MidiTrigger; to hybird midi controllers / instruments like ThumbPiano and NanoStudio; to standalone instruments like MorphWiz and iTablaPro... that I genuinely recommend to run a search on the forums here for "iPad" with the "Display results as Topics" option, and then to read through the first page.
