Pops and clicks during audio playback

Post by Feralchild » Tue Feb 25, 2003 7:03 am

I'v just started using live 2.2 I have a quatro usb 4 channel audio card and a laptop. My quatro works with all my other application such as Qbase but with live I get pops and clicks during play back. I'm only playing one short sample and my cpu says it at 4% usage. I looking to see if anyone has an Idea what the problem maybe. I'm starting to think its live with the quartro or usb. Remember All other programs work fine with up to 40 tracks of audio samples with out a hitch.

Make sure your hard disk is DMA enabled. In control panel/system/device manager/disk drives - double click on disk and check in settings (if you are using Windows).

Pops and clicks

Post by Ellwood » Fri Mar 07, 2003 9:16 am

I'm getting the same thing (occasional clicks and pops) on a:
1Ghz Powerbook G4/Live 2.01/Egosys USB soundcard/OS9.2.1.

Are there any optimum disk/memory/buffer settings I should be using?
