Can I hide the "Device Vertical Limit" in original patches?

Post by cosmod » Mon Jan 10, 2011 11:13 pm

Hi again,

Quick thing I'm noticing in the Max For Live interface. In pre-made patches that come with Max For Live (Buffer Shuffler, etc), the 'device vertical limit' line is visible in the Presentation Mode, but invisible in the unlocked Patching Mode. However, when I want to create a new patch (one of the 'build your own audio/midi/ effect here' patches), the "device vertical limit" is visible during the unlocked Patching Mode, but not the Presentation Mode. Am I missing the point with how the "Max Audio Effect/Midi Effect/Instrument" patch is supposed to be used?

Any suggestions for dealing with this? It's strange when I want to create a patch in unlocked Patching Mode and there's a giant horizontal line running through my workflow...

thanks,

-g

I think it has to do with the 'open in presentation' button in the patcher inspector.
