How is Ableton Live 8 with Windows7 ?

Post by Delorian Tokes » Mon Jan 10, 2011 7:20 pm

Hello! My first post here, glad to be here, thank you for having me :)

Been using 7 and 8 versions with my winXP. Speak here if your getting good results with using Windows 7 instead. Anecdotes/known issues are greatly appreciated! Are you using same pluginz that you did with xp? Etc etc.

thanx!!

been working fine. the computer can go into and out of sleep mode without having to shut down Live. APC and Launch Pad are usually unaffected.

try the demo, people with identical setups can have different experiences. take Apple people, same hardware, some have bugs, some don't. also choice of third party apps can play a big role in stability, so it seems.

YMMV and all that.

Thought I'd never switch from XP. I had to due to reasons beyond my control. Couldn't be happier. Works just great.

I must say that I was even a bit surprised that there were no problems with Win 7 and Live. Works really great for me.

Moved to Windows 7 about a month ago, so far so good.

Been using Live 8 with 64-bit Windows for the past year, works great.

A couple of plug-in crashes and every so often my audio interface doesn't want to play nice, but 98% of the time it's problem-free.
