Reducing Latency

Post by SelveS » Tue Jan 11, 2011 3:52 pm

I'm having some latency issues with my Oxygen 8 midi keyboard when trying to use Live's instruments. I've already tried reducing buffer size and sample rate, and although this helps, I still have a little bit of latency (just enough to really bug me.)

I then found out that using an ASIO driver will help. I tried switching to that under driver type in Live. When I do this Live gives me an error message and says it must close. I have also tried downloading an updated version of asio at asio4all.com.

Questions?

1. Should asio be the driver for my entire computer? If so I can't seem to bring it up as an option.
2. Should the audio output device be asio in live as well?

Thank you for your help!
