Is it possible to use a drum rack where the pads map to a single instance of a plugin (I'm using Microtonic from SonicCharge). It seems that all I can create is a rack with as many microtonics as there are pads.
I've also read the ableton manual but it confused me more than it helped in this regard.
Thanks to anyone who has an idea.

Re: Using drum racks with a single plugin instance
use microtonic vst (multi-out version) on Drum Rack pad 1, put an External Instrument device on the other 7 pads, and set the 'midi to' and 'audio from' boxes to the microtonic

show chains, add chain, add your uTonic instance to the chain.
if you need multiple outputs, add more chains, and use the external instrument device.
