When using Soundtoy's Decapitator in the latest version of Live 8, I get random pops/click every four to eight bars.
I've tried it on multiple tracks, checked automation, adjusted levels, all the things one would do when experiencing distortion and it's not that. It sounds like a clocking issue so I tried various clock settings to no avail.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
System:
OS X 10.6.6
2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
Current session at 11% CPU
EDIT NOTE: This problem does not occur with the AU version of the plug-in. Apparently, SoundToys needs to investigate their VST coding.
Soundtoys Decapitator — Random Pop/Click
Re: Soundtoys Decapitator — Random Pop/Click
Yup. Me and I know another guy who also doesn't use his Soundtoys because of this. Only workaround for me is not skipping while the thing is running in the arrangement view. Also switching Loop off is necessary. After some clicks there is some really loud sound coming from the plugin which kills the whole audio enginge.

Are you Mac or PC?
Switching to Audio Units versions of the plugins has solved the problem.
