when ableton opens up, mediaplayer starts playing faster

hi,

I have this issue with ableton, the moment i open it,
then the music playing in my mediaplayer starts playing faster.

closing and reopening doesn't help.
adjusting the speed of the mediaplayer also does not help.

the problem really is the combination with ableton, alltough i have no clue
where to start looking...

anyone?

got the same problem.
i checked my sample rate (different to the player) there was the problem.

sample rate from the player? ableton?

i really want to help , since my english is kinda bad i wanna ask you few question

do you mean when you lunch a clip the bmp changed in the lunch box , for example if the bpm is 128 its lunch to 64 ?

no,

its not the speed of ableton that changes, its the speed of songs played in mediaplayer, who are speeding up, the moment both ableton and mediaplayer are open.

That' weird. It's probably a sample rate problem but since Ableton Live is using ASIO (I'm, hoping you're using ASIO and not MME/DirectX) and Media Player isn't it's sounds strange to me.

In Ableton Live go to
Options/Preferences/Audio
Change the Sample Rate to 44100 and see if this helps. If it doesn't, try other sample rates.

what is your mediaplayer? ru windows user or mac need few info?

mediaplayer windows.

but the problem is solved, in my prefs the rate was at 48 in stead of 44100.

i just didn't realise that it was on 48, i tought it was set to 44100...apparently not,
i guess because from time to time i import movies in ableton to sample or use...
