Syncing up a TR 707

Hey chaps,
I'm having problems getting Ableton to trigger the start/stop of my Tr 707 drummachine.
I have got it working with Midi and can play the drum sounds from Ableton but I want it so Ableton triggers the 707 to play its own patterns.

Any ideas?

you have to set the 707 in midi sync mode

I have done this and like I said, I have it receiving Midi notes fine. It just won't trigger the sequencer.

i had the 707 but don't remember.
anyway on some drum machines you have to set the tempo to 0 to enable to synch

also..
beeing able to trigger notes from live doesn't mean that you put your tr in slave mode

Solved it! Abe's Midi clock type wasn't set to pattern.

hey,
i'm having the opposite problem.
i can run the 707's clock w ableton, but can't figure out how to trigger the 707 sounds from a midi clip in ableton.
any ideas?

You should be able to open a Midi channel and set the Midi so it's going out of your Midi interface in the 'Midi To' box.
Then it should play the sounds when you click on notes on the grid while playing.
