Syncing two laptops together, one with Ableton Intro?

Is it possible to sync two laptops (macbooks) together to "dj live" while one is running Ableton Live 8, and the other Ableton Intro? Or would the intro have to be upgraded to 8?

I'm not familiar with Ableton Intro, is that like Ableton Lite? If it can accept midi, then it should be possible.

Open up preferences, and if you can edit Midi/sync then it should work as long as you have a way to connect both laptops, via midi.

I think Ableton Intro is the new Ableton Lite. I haven't downloaded the Intro version yet, I wanted to know if I could sync it first before I purchased it.

I'm frustrated that I have to buy another copy of Ableton just so I can run it on a second laptop to dj with, so am just trying to use the Intro/Lite version for the 2nd laptop.

You can authorise your full licence on two machines, though you're not supposed to use them both simultaneously. Which brings me to a question. May I ask why you need two laptops to DJ with? I'm not trying to dissuade you or imply that you don't know what you're doing, I'm just curious what your set-up's going to be.
