BT's Stutter Edit is out

Have to say it. the stutter effect is going to go the way of Autotune effect, the gratuitous use of reverb on the drums and vocals in 80's music, for that matter the heavily delayed and chorused guitars in 80's music.
If you want your music to sound dated by all means use the latest one trick pony gimmicks.
Having said this, I'm now tempted to make a song with a wobble bass, stutter FX, delayed chorused guitar, and a "metal bridge", amen break drums, screemo vocals mixed with autotuned emo parts and 8 bit synths. It will be a huge hit!

OK... So you don't have Stutter Edit and you don't have Autotune? OK. OK. Nobody's panicking. Here's what we're gonna do: set up a bus track, and route every track except the kick drum track to it. Put Live's Compressor on it, open the sidechain compression tab and select your kick track as input. Pull the threshold waaaay down, and press play. If you're lucky, everybody will be so amazed they won't even notice you aren't use Autotune or Stutter Edit!

You get the point. Hard to get anybody to listen to it on a forum with mainly dance music producers, but really, do you want to use all the latest trix and sound like generic formulaic electronic mush? No sound or style is out of bounds, not saying that, just saying that it's IMO important to draw a line in the sand and reach a little further with your tracks than a $250 stutter FX box that will make you sound like BT did 7 years ago.
Feel free to disagree, it's an opinion, and it's only thrown out there in the vain hope that there will be less train wrecks out there that sound like this.

Have to admit, that is accurate. While some of his songs are not my personal taste, I would not use the word "terrible" to describe any of his work. Much of his work I find to be visionary and uniquely creative. Personal taste aside, BT is one of those few electronica artists who has created an identifiable sound, like Chicane or Moby, that is often imitated, yet rarely done well.

Back to Stutter Edit... any instrument, effect or tool can be used poorly within the wrong hands. There's nothing wrong with the tools themselves, rather the imaginations, skills or tastes, or lack thereof, of those using them. I think this tool has a value with simplifying an often complex process, while allowing for musical possibilities that one may not come across when taking the traditional, manual approach to "stutter" editing.
