Hi guys,
I have searched high and low and only found one post on this but nothing was ever sorted.
Basically i have tried to install the Drum Machine pack tonight but i get the message "the licence to use certain protected samples is missing". I have Live 8.2.1 and is all above board. I have followed the instructions, authorized live again and even removed and re-installed the live packs but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone had this issue?

Do you have live suite, or just live?

Just Live. I thought they should work on all versions?

Nope,
Drum Machines, Session Drums, Latin Percussion, EIC2 - all those sound sets are either for Suite users, or separate purchase.
I don't think this is pointed out clearly enough on the dedicated page for this product. I think it should be in the first paragraph, EG: "Drum Machines recreates the classic electronic drum computers of the past, it is included in Suite and is available for purchase in Live 7 upwards". Something like that would be clearer.
Although you will notice that it says "upgrade to suite" quite a bit on there.

Thanks for this, I did wonder if I needed suite or to buy it but as you say it is not very clear.
So its 69 euro for the pack or 189 euro for suite upgrade which gives me the lot....
What shall i do

well, I'd hate to give a purchase advice. It really depends on what you own already and how you like to work, whether you will love the suite or barely use it.
I'm not a typical Live user because I don't make dance music (any more) but I do think the Suite has €189 of value, for me that's simply through my daily use of the Electric Piano, the Piano sample set, the strings, The Session Drums, 'Sampler', etc., etc And the weirder stuff is pretty good too : instruments like Tension, etc. , the Latin percussion is strangely good, it seems to be recorded particularly well.
It's purely down to each user how much value they get from it.
IMPORTANT: make sure you understand which parts of Live Suite are "boxed version only"

see the "*Boxed version only." bit
because some parts are so vast that they don't come with the download version.
