Could someone describe how to route one midi track to an audio track and record an audio clip. I read the routing tutorial but still don't see how.

pretty straight forward:
in the midi track set "audio to" to the desired audio track.
arm the audio track
hit play on the midi clip
hit record on the desired audio clip slot in the audio track.

Thanks dom but I have tried to do that with the audio track set to resampling and it doesn't function.

nothing in my post says "resampling"
don't change the "audio from" field of the audio track and do like i wrote or choose your desired midi track in "audio from" of the audio track.

Alright. I decided to try this now as it is driving nuts.

1) VSTi Midi track 5 audio to set to audio 1
2) Audio track 1 is set to Audio from Midi track 5
3) Audio track 1 is armed to rceord.
4) Midi track 5 play activated.

Results are that the levels in Audio 1 are lit up but no audio clip is created.

Audio 1 is armed and is receiving input. So, why is no audio clip created?

nothing's been announced but Live 5 comes with some demo tracks which I'm guessing are the ones
