Creating Bleepy/Bloopy Electro/Dutch style synths..

Post by Bee Dub » Thu Jan 20, 2011 12:48 am

whats up, i have some new plugins (nexus, gladiator, electrax, warmverb (by tone2), massive, fm8) and am looking to make some laidback luke style sine bleepy/bloopy electro synths and am looking for some tips on how to properly get that sound..

i have played with turning up the attack which causes a pre-delay that is a start, but i have the sounds, just looking for some tips on how to use these to get some interesting high freq wobbly synths that have some crazy LFO modulation, any help would be awesome or some tutorials..

im using full live 8 (not suite)

Layer your sounds. Look into instrument racks and learn how to split and layer different effects with channels/chains. This can help you fatten up your synths and your sound. A lot of sounds used in electro are fairly simple but they are layered correctly with the right effects.

as far as i know, laidback luke is just using saw waves or square waves detuned w/ portamento, i can't think of any crazy LFO tracks?
