I wouldn't particularly want to use Vista again either, but it's BIOS and hardware not OS that’s caused me problems on my current Dell Studio 1735.milfhuntr wrote:A MacBook is only $999 on the Apple site. Converted to pounds it is about 640.
I ended all my problems when I converted from PC to Apple. And if i want, I can run Vista on my Mac. But I don't want.
Unfortunately due to the way we get ripped off for things in the UK the actual price of a white MacBook is £870, with only 2G of Ram. As soon as you start upgrading for better music performance it gets much steeper, I think 4G ram and a 64bit OS are minimum requirements if I want to be using it with up to date software for the next 4 years.
Again nothing against Apple, I can’t argue against the quality of their Mac products, except the price for what you get does not fit my budget and future proofing needs. For this reason and this reason alone I'm really in the market for a PC rather than a Mac.
