ok i havent gotten to read everyones posts,, so for the moment im just going to post my experience...
im getting this message on a 1 year old mac tower ..2.93 quad core intel xeon, 8 gb 1066 mghz ram, 32/64 bit, 2 TB storage
AND I GET THE SAME SHIT!!
ill have EVERYTHING in the whole arrangement in audio, NO vsts open, 20-25 channels max.. not running at more than 48k I/O sample rate..
at the bottom of my arrangement will be a folder (channel grouping) with all of the midi/vst channels from the whole project (everything that was started as midi was duplicated, frozen, & flattened) then DEACTIVATED.. that means ableton isnt reading a single vst or midi note, channel grouping is turned off and folded up.. I NEVER HIT THE RAM button.. i dont think ever in my life (so thats not an issue)
then if i want to change an audio ill drag the orignal pluggin ou of the folder next to the audio channel it created, fix, rearrange, make a new part...
heres where the message happens.. when i go to duplicate THE ONLY VST RUNNING, it wil allow this but when i then freeze and flatten that duplicate channel there will be no audio and byt this time the error message has popped up at least once..
well thats my story,,im read thru and see if there isnt any new revelations..
