Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
Would it be too much to ask, dare I say, a iPad version of Ableton...
This would change everything.

Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
Some of the rumors coming out about the iPad 2 are already pointing to "wait for the iPad 3".
For example the rumors about a higher res screen manufacturers are saying not in the 2 but there will be in the 3.
Also rumored is the 2 having a rear facing camera that is only 1 megapixel. I'm no camera elitist but that sounds offensively small, but also rumored is the front facing camera has a much higher res (4?). WTF? I don't facetime anyway but it seems ass-backwards because I think you'd get a lot better use out of the rear facing camera than the front. No rumors about this being any better on the iPad 3, but still.
At this point I might just hold off on the 2 unless it's a substantially lighter weight with a substantially larger drive at the same comparative price point as the iPad 1.

Much like your outrage over MIDI implementation, or specifically lack of implementation or interest, I don't really see anybody hoping the iPad 2 has a larger hard drive which kind of boggles my mind. I guess we've reached a point in history where people actually like having to cherry pick what goes on their device instead of just having space for it all.
But I'm thinking Apple will just put larger drives on them because they can.

Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
I hate that my iPad doesn't automatically switch wifi spots based on signal strength. I've got two routers in the place and it's always wanting to connect with the one in the basement - even when I'm up in the attic and the basement signal is almost nonexistent.
There should be a setting.

Was your place a safe house on the underground railroad and how many members of Congress is your place setup to accommodate if the bomb drops?

I think it's a minor felony that I'm not going to the Macworld Expo since it's just a slight drive away.
But most of the news will be more than covered on the Internet.

I spend close to 0% of my time on the iPad on a browser app. Every site I would go to (except for this forum) has it's own dedicated app or is handled through a rss feed app.

So Apple is investing in some technology that will allow you to use your idevice to pay for things wirelessly at retail stores as opposed to using credit cards.
I'm curious how this transaction would take place on the backend. Will it be tied to your iTunes account? And if so what would keep you from spending more money at a store than you have available?

its called a bar code. seriously.
you hold up your mobile device that can display images, and that check stand red laser gun that was hot news in the 80s is whats used to scan it.
your love for Apple is shadowed only by your love for Apple.
