Indeed, great support for Clint. Rightly so.
I would hang on a bit Purpurkatten. I cannot see that they would release any major update without including a M4L runtime environment for us 'non-geek' non-programmer musicians who want to take advantage of the M4L devices but don't want to have to buy the full product.
'LFO Everything' I want and I weant it now, but there isn't anyway I am going to buy the the full M4L just to use it.
i think Abes will see there is a market for these plugs, like an app store (or should that be arp store fnarr fnarr) if you like, where you buy a runtime environ and buy each plug you want top use individually.
Nice.
Downside: it may not happen. Ever.
Is Max for Live for me?
Re: Is Max for Live for me?
I'm surprised anyone is wanting to buy LFO Everything. I would rather have a (perhaps) lesser device than that one.The Leveller wrote:'LFO Everything' I want
What pun? :/ShelLuser wrote:No pun intended but that depends on the device itself.
I'm prepared to have a face like this:

I just can't see the pun there (not that it really matters, just wondered if I was missing something, or perhaps it was a Fry & Laurie moment?)
As for something a bit more on topic, I really want to get Max for Live. But I would also much much prefer a free runtime (as I don't currently have the time to build anything but would likely pay in the future to have that functionality) or at least a significant price reduction. I also realise these probably aren't going to happen. Shame really.

spent the whole last night with mlr on my launchpad.tigali wrote:Just to reiterate how great some of the free stuff is; I've just been using TapeStop and JC Reverse and they're both superb! (and free!)
Being able to use monome-applications with my launchpad and within ableton was totally worth paying for m4l.
I can't really program max, but I needed a little device, asked kindly on the forum and the great ShelLuser built it for me. That was sooooo great.
Re: Is Max for Live for me?
This is the kind of thing that's most exciting about having it. I've no illusions about ever being smart enough to do what the top dudes are already doing with M4L, but the community seems really generous and you can reap the benefits by being involved.pepezabala wrote:spent the whole last night with mlr on my launchpad.tigali wrote:Just to reiterate how great some of the free stuff is; I've just been using TapeStop and JC Reverse and they're both superb! I was considering MFL, but I think I´ll wait to invest more money in Live until I know there is a 64bit version around. I need that more.
Sure would like to hear something from Ableton on the future of their software now.
