Thinking my hard drive was about to go on the fritz I loaded Live 8.2.1 onto my LaCie 1.5 tb external drive.
Now none of my instruments and effects are accessible without the LaCie. I don't remember exactly how I did what. (drinkywinky?)
I can't use Time Machine because THAT external drive DID go on the fritz which is the reason I started freaking out in the first place.
I've spent a few hours trying to get my MacBookPro 17" (Leopard) to be free of the LaCie umbilical cord to no avail and I don't want to compound my mistake.
I imagine there is a really simple solution to this. I've had to re-authorize Live a couple of times on this computer when not connected to the external drive.
Shouldn't I be able to have all my shit (Live 8 Suite and Live Packs) on both my laptop AND in storage?
My third-party plug-ins work fine, though Automap does not.
I really shouldn't be a noob at this point but, there it is.
