Midi-mapping APC40 buttons

Post by mlopresti » Sun Feb 06, 2011 2:54 pm

Im hard midi-maping some of the device controls and buttons on the APC40, such as the device on/off button to globally turn off and on a master channel FX, so I don't have to have the track selected at all times, however I loose the LED is always on now, regardless of whether the device is on or off.

any thoughts on how to fix this?

Bomes, max4live or any midi translator software that can create your own light show...

Cheers

I just started sending midi back to the APC with a dedicated midi track to get my LED's to light the way I wanted. You have to make sure your midi preferences are set to go out to the APC40, not sure if you use remote, track or both. However you should be able to send the particular buttons note, or CC number back to the APC from a midi track that is receiving from the APC40 and sending too the APC40. Think if the midi track like a track thats dedicated to sending midi info to the APC for LEDs and nothing more.

That may work for you.
