If it doesn't have full MIDI integration than I'm not interested. And was there anything about MIDI in that advert?

Nay.

Could be.

But it's not the thread for those with low self-esteem issues because posts made may or may not be responded to. But it's nothing personal. We just blabber on randomly about the iPad.
I've noticed. Actually I was thinking of the iPhone/iPad resources thread but was too lazy to search for it and saw this one. I've not got into any i apps for music yet. But this looks alright.

LOL. Nintendo boss is pissed off about the prices of iOS games (as should be sony and xbox bigwigs). Crap, nobody is going to want to spend $60 on a game anymore.

To make things worse I've already seen TV commercials where a game is going to be released on consoles and iOS..of course the iOS version will be substantially cheaper. It may not be the exact same game play but close enough and well worth the lower price.

Probably won't and I couldn't give less of a shit.

Go buy a competitor pad to get your beloved USB. There's plenty to choose from now. :P

why would they omit such a thing, surely they know that file import and exporting is extremely important for any type of tech usage?

I think the only thing that might be giving them a temporary reprieve is you can now download some of their big titles (for the same price) directly to the console….something us iOS users have been doing from day 1 (at substantially cheaper prices). :P

The same day my roommate downloaded Dead Space 1 to his PS3 for $40 I downloaded Dead Space 2 to my iPad for $10. :P

There's work arounds like Drop Box and other apps that air transfer files, and the camera kit adaptor which has a USB port.

they haven't figured out how force you to use iTunes to manage your USB ports (too) without affecting add on USB mouse and keyboard options. give em time. if they'd have thought it through they would have switched all their mouse and keyboard connections to some kind of proprietary plug years ago. then beats me and LSZ would be posting about how awesome the iPad's USB management system is.

When they do finally figure out how to force the use of iTunes when managing USB or any other kind of transfer method, I have a number of prepared statements already drawn up: Praising Steve Jobs and Apple for their forward thinking methodology.

It's good to be prepared. Kinda like when newspapers and TV news prepare death notices/announcements ahead of time.

For better or worse Apple sometimes forces you to rethink how you are used to doing certain things.

Somebody gave me a first gen iPod back in the day and it took me a good 6 months before I even considered using the thing because I thought it doesn't get much better than burning your own CDs. :)

I was a bit thrown back when they decided to make the Mac App store a separate application instead of part of iTunes. I can only assume that it's somehow related to the ass-hat who decided at some point in history they should make a PC version of iTunes and now they have to withhold some of the integrated magic that is an Apple user's birthright.
