Amplitube in ProTools rewired to Live 4.1

Post by dobyboby » Fri Jun 03, 2005 2:20 am

Hi,

I'm a newbie, so I'm not sure if this topic has been posted yet.

I work at a company that primarily uses Pro Tools rewired with Ableton. I'm all set to switch from annoying Digital Performer except for the fact that I can't even have one track of amplitube running in pro tools (when rewired to Ableton or Reason) without getting a message to increase my buffer when using an mbox or any other LE interface (playing into pro tools at a higher buffer than 128 is useless in my opinion). I also had the same problems with pro tools m-powered (Audiophile 192 and Firewire 1814). The odd thing is that my co-workers don't nearly have the headaches I have when they use the same audio interfaces, however they are running both programs on a PC.

Now, I'm not sure if this is a Pro-Tools/Rewire problem, an Amplitube problem, an Ableton problem, or a Mac problem. Just wondering if anyone out there has been in the same situation as me.

I'm running a Dual 1.25 G4, 2GB of RAM.

Thanks in advance and thanks for having me!

This is a common issue with your sound cards and Pro Tools. Pro Tools has a work around for this issue in the preferences to shut off "increase hw buffer alerts."

It is just how Pro Tools works
