Issue withAudio files tracked in Pro Tools brought into Live

Post by Tweekhead » Tue Feb 15, 2011 4:42 pm

Hello,

I'm having an issue where I've multi tracked drums in Pro Tools, and I want to bring them into Live to have some fun, but when I go into the Pro Tools sessions audio files folder and bring them into a Live session, the lengths of the files are different, even though they are all the same file size, and length. I've been doing this for years with Logic and PT with no issues at all, so is this just something with Live? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Live automatically warps (timestretches) audio files by default and guesses their original tempo. This can sometimes go wrong. Double click a clip in Live ant turn off warping. Then do the same for the other ones. They should all have the same length after this.

If you still want to play around with warping, just turn it on again for all the clips. If Live asks you if you want to keep the original tempo, say yes. They should now be the same length and you should be ready to stretch the hell out of them..:)

Cheers,
Matt
