I’m so ready to drop some money on an Airprint enabled printer but only HP makes them and there’s no shortage of complaints about all the models that support Airprint.

The last time I got an all-in-one printer I dropped about 2 bills on it and the wireless part of it only worked sporadically so I ended up using the wired connection. Then the ink nozzles got clogged to the point of having to return it to the manufacturer and they replaced it with a refurbished model and the performance on that one was even worse. This seems to be common with all all-in-one consumer level printers regardless of manufacturer.

After that experience I said fuck it and got a $50 Canon that prints and makes copies but isn’t wireless and doesn’t fax, and I couldn’t be happier.

So it pisses me off I might have to get a headache inducing all-shit-in-one printer for a high price just so I can print from my iPhone or iPad.

The main thing I’d like to print is recipes because while I can just as easily use the iPad while cooking, I really don’t like touching the iPad with potentially food gummed fingers.

But I think if I had an Airprint enabled printer I think my next source of frustration would be the relization of how many apps don't support it...just like Airplay....and MIDI.

I think Apple should start the release notes for each new iOS version announcement to developers with "And here's a bucket of new shit you lazy fuckers won't implement, but whatevs. "
