acoustic velocitys ( hits) triggering midi events

im trying to figure out how to take a audio input from my alesis firewire mixer, and convert it into a midi event. to trigger,.. whatever...
if anyone can help please do.

kinda, but it doesnt give a good instruction on how to actually install the unit. ive tried placing it in various folders and ableton doesnt seem to find it.

Do you have a designated vst folder?? Are you on mac or pc?

Theres a plugin witch converts audio notes to midi... I think its called widi... thats from memory
