How to map a trigger pad to a specific note?

Hey,

I have a really simple question. I want to map a trigger pad to a specific midi note (it's just a keyboard... I want to hit the pad and it will play the note I want).

Any help would be appreciated!

Well it depends on the controller... usualy you have a editor software and you do it from there.

Theres probably a way to do it from within ableton with midi effefs and such

record the note in midi track and set that track to be triggered only when clicked then map to the you want on the topright side where it says midi.
