question on effects routing

Post by hashbeatzz » Wed Feb 23, 2011 2:33 am

hello i'm rather new to live so this is probably an easy question to answer.

what i want to do is have an audio effect rack with a few different beat repeats on a return channel so i can just dial it in via send knobs to any track that is playing without having to have a separate rack on each instrument. this works fine except using this method means that the original un-beat repeated signal is playing as well as whats coming through the return channel and that's not what i want.

any ideas?

I started with Ableton yesterday, but think you should turn the send to "pre" and only send to the effect track. Or how it works in ableton. I dont have it infront of me now.

Just rout your audio track (or midi track) to "sends only".

Should do the job.
