Midi To Audio Help

Post by Advent57 » Sat Jun 04, 2005 4:14 pm

I am a new user and i am finding it hard to do the `Midi to Audio` conversion, ive followed what the manual says but after recording the track from a midi vst instrument there is no audio waveform in the arrangement view, i am having to render the track and import it again. Does this conversion have to be done in the session view only? help please

MIDI to Audio

This is really simple in Session view.

You can even record the midi clip and the audio at the same time. This has a few advantages.

Arm the midi track and use Ctrl (hold down the Control key as you click the track Record button) to arm the audio track (they will both be record enabled).

In the audio track make sure that the Input is set to the MIDI track For example MIDI 3

That's it

You should see the track inputs for both tracks showing input activity.

Now click the midi track Clip record to start the recording Do the same for the audio clip

Start playing
