Live 4 Educational: terms of use?

Post by Skylit » Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:00 pm

I am about to buy Live 4 with the educational discount. However I couldn't find some more info on flexibility of this licence:
Can I use it after I graduate? Can I create commercial tracks? Can I perform live and get paid for that?
Please answer this question someone?

Thank you!

Another good question is: do you have the same upgrade options?
Windows XP, P4 2.4Ghz, 2 x 250Gb 7200rpm, 1Gb DDRAM, M-Audio Delta 66 + Omni i/o

Should be the same disc that comes with the regular retail box.

I just remembered the movie, "Blazing Saddles". The part when Headly uses his student id for a discounted ticket.

hi there!

in general you can do exactly the same with your EDU version as with a normal full version: you can create commercial tracks, you can perform on stage while getting paid for it, everything, you can even use it after graduation. the only difference of an EDU version is the price itself.

you can also upgrade from this version, but you have to provide us with an up to date student-id to get the EDU upgrade price or simply pay the normal upgrade price if you're not a student anymore.

Dom,
is it possible to upgrade from live4 "regular" to live5 educational at the reduced price?

Cheers,
