Best VST/AU for Lush/Evolving Pads

Post by Pasha » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:58 am

Although an owner of Live Suite + Zebra 2.5 I was asking myself what other options are possible for a VST/AU addressing my need of lush pads, evolving pads (not rhythmic, evolving over time), pads with some metallic attacks... you got the point. What's the verdict of you experienced users?

I've got some love for FabFilter's Twin at the moment.

Fun modulation options.

I also like using the Reaktor ensemble Metaphysical Function. you can get some very nice evolving pads when you use good starting samples.

+1
Find some samples and load them in granular mode then use modulations to sweep the sample position with stretch at zero - great with vocal samples especially.
Nothing to see here - move along!

Thanks for excellent food for thoughts!
It seems Omnisphere is the way to go...
They do not provide a downloadable demo though...

Any other?
