On Ableton 9 make warping the same as Ableton 7

Post by Rbeato » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:01 pm

this is the main reason I WILL NOT upgrade to Ableton 8 is the way you warp tracks. Bring back the way you warped tracks/loops and I will have no problem upgrading to 9. Not even sure why they changed it when it was so easy before to warp a track/loop when you can do it in less than 5 seconds, now it takes longer even though Ive read the tutorials to warp tracks/loops to make it closer to 7, it works a little bit better but is still not as efficient. If its not broken why fix it or change it. I know tons of people who hate ableton 8 for this reason and will not make the switch. So Ableton, I love you but on the next version, please brimg back the old way to warp a track/loop.

If you take some time to get used to Live 8 then you will experience that the new warping method works much better!

The new waping marker system is better than the old system as 1)it makes more sense and 2)You can see you loop clearer!

Hi. I just downloaded the demo version of Ableton 9.
I noticed whenever I warp a track, the warp marker snaps to the next time marker. And it's really annoying having to super zoom every part I want to warp.
I never had this problem with Ableton 7.
Is there something in the settings I missed?
