but an undo like in photoshop would be nice. Where you can see a list of past actions and then jump right back into the status of the set that you want to go back to.

Then again in live you do soooo many parameter changes, this list would be too huge to actually work with it.

true its a bit crazy, but im thinking how nice it would be to start set and watch the thing being created. a bit like the way automation can be recorded for certain tweaks. but this would record the movement of instruments / effects / clips / samples / etc..

A feature that eliminates all the unused files, will be nice, I beleive that Cubase have something like that.

there's no f-ing way in hell I would EVER want Live to decide what files it can delete. it can barely keep track of files you NEED when you move projects around. ever get the "sample offline" message when the @#$%^ing file is right there in the project?

you haven't been burned enough by software, don't trust it.

I would like more integration with the controllers. To be able to use Live without looking at the screen, like Maschine, but with my Launchpad or any other (new) controller.

Maybe possible with OSC support?

A button that turns the entire Ableton screen area into an audio asset manager.
Audio, VSTs, Ableton Instruments etc.
Like Native Instruments tagger idea.
I have purchased VSTs from over 100 Audio Companies.
I have purchased at least 100GB of Loops and one shots.
I am overflowing with Battery and Kontakt Instruments.
I have a ton of MIDI files.
Etc ... Etc ...
Most of these items belong to more than one 'group'. Asset Tagging with preview would be cool. It would be an advanced form of the 'simple' browser we already have in Ableton.

I would like this more than a Score Editor for example.

Every parameter within Live being mapped to anywhere you like. How I would dearly love to map a device parameter on a return track to a macro on a standard track. :x
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

Yep +1

Though easy to do with M4L.

Multi-core utilization that is as good as Logic - ie full utilize all avaiilable core as needed - no more of this 100% cpu in live = 13% real use of an i7 system.
Timestrech sound quality as good as props Record.
*Full* PDC implementation, that should work even with external clock (ie compensated automations, compensated time to plugins so that their LFOs for eg are compensated)
An external clock sync that is reliable.
64 bit native support with 32 bit plugin bridge.
Some research into why the hell so many plugins can so easily crash live and not cubase for eg (and some corresponding fixes).
Multi-monitor support - arrange and session view available *at the same time*
A new separate combined mixer+macro view - think the bottom of the current session view, but with the 8 knobs of the first rack device also visible above - ie abit like record's mixer.
A selection of mapping curves for macro knob - is not just linear, but exponential, two-way constant power, selected menu entries etc.
VST3 at least to allow for side chain input selected for all plugins as well as *allways* being able to find a plugins extra inputs and outputs, not just when Live is in the riight mood and a chicken has been sacrificed etc.
Nothing to see here - move along!

Isn't that the delete unused samples thing in the manage project/files window?
Live relevant things: Suite 12, MacBook M1 Max, RME UFX II (kext drivers), Push 1

I think Macrobat can do that already. Macrobat is packaged up with ClyhphX now. In the beta version ;)

you must map the parameter to a macro in whatever track its in, then give it a magical 'sendy' name, then you give the recipient rack a 'receivey' name. Basically you can send macro dials to anywhere, volume faders on different tracks, etc, etc.

there's a PDF manual along with Clyphx and some example sets that come with the package showing some silly routings.

TBH I've not done much with it (at all) only opened the example sets and said "heh!"

Yeah, I'm using Macrobat now, but any and all magic needs to happen within a single track at a time. I'm not able to access anything outside of the track, and Stray just replied to a thread I started in his Macrobat forum section - confirming that there's no scripted solution.

M4L would be a fine solution, but..... :?

It just seems to me that full internal 'no holds barred' routing would be a no brainer for Live9. That and INTEGRATED OSC support.
