Looper overdub length

Post by stax67 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 11:20 am

I was playing with lives looper last night and its a bit annoying. I want to be able to use it to catch loops from 'looping' clip as I change fx parameters, then layer multiple versions on top of one another.

You can set the record length, hit record, and it records for that amount of time - FINE

but then if you hit overdub it keeps overdubbing until YOU press the button again rather than stopping after the set time, which means if you want to catch say 1 bar from a continuous audio stream (looping clip for example) it overdubs over and over so that the volume builds and builds as the same bit of audio is overdub on to itself.

Is there a way to set the overdub length so that looper goes from overdub back to play after a set number of bars?

Cheers,
Stax.

no sure if this is a solution: you can build yourself a rack of loopers. put them all in the chain & leave 1 clean chain. each of them can have a fixed length assigned.

I never experienced such things so I am not sure about the solution. :S
