I imagine that most of their effort is going into getting Live 9 ready to demonstrate at Musikmesse.

The more bug fixes the merrier I say! The overall stability of Live 8 has been a looong time coming. I welcome each bug fix with open arms!

What type of idiot complains when problems are getting fixed?

Would you rather them not get fixed? I don't get it.

What type of person insults people on a forum for asking such a question? I don't see anything idiotic about it. The rate at which problems get fixed is important. Say it took three years to fix one bug, would you be happy?

OP is obviously concerned about the drop in the rate of bug fixes, combined with the facts that there are still some major problems with 8 and Ableton are busy working on version 9. I'm guessing some people are wondering just how many staff they've got fixing bugs (which of course is rightfully Ableton's decision). Maybe they can't afford not to put a lot of resources into 9 and get it released asap. Who knows? Doesn't mean someone doesn't have the right to voice their concerns.

the kind of idiot that's been on this board since 2003, using Live since v.1.5, gigging with Live since 2004, teaching and promoting Live for many years. that kind of idiot.

i remember the days when fixing bugs was happening on a weekly bases. loooooong changelogs. i wouldn't mind the changelog with just a couple of fixes, of course, but to me that would've mean that all is well with Live 8. but from what i've been seeing on this board and from my own personal experience, that's not the case. since 8.2.1 Live's never ever been so unreliable to me. i've send more of a dozen crash logs to ableton and don't see any of my situations mentioned in changelogs. have you ever experienced Live crash in the middle of a gig in front of 500-1000 people? i guess not, if you did, you'd see why the frustration.
i/we really need a stable program because we use it every day and our jobs rely on it's stability. that's a number one priority. to me, at least.

p.s. thanks ninox for standing up for me. ;)

i agree with the OP totally. The 8.2.2Beat was online since Novembver 8O
But still no news on anything. They could write a statement or something so we know at least a little bit what is happening

Sorry, I'm the resident idiot here. I thought the OP was complaining that there were TOO MANY bug fixes in a month. LOL

Clear to me that the quality initiative is over. So they're either on holidays indefinitely, looking for other jobs, creating a new application or working on version 9. I'm going to place my bet on the last option. :)
