New idea/concept for a record label, would love your opinion

You could run into all sorts fo licensing issues with the sounds used to make the parts if they are sold as construction kits (which are effectively isolated loops, which in turn are resamplings of someone original sounds).

i purchased a construction kit that i really like. what can i do with it?

can i reproduce the kit and then put the track on a label?

can i add outside sounds to the kit while reconstructing it?

you say that its resampling if i use the kits sounds outside of its kit? so back to my first question, how far can i take this little kit, is it just for practice?

Generally you can make and release a mixed track with it. However releasing for licensing stems available that expose in isolation those sounds may put you in trouble.

does that mean that it would have to be (cutflow remix) or maybe i misunderstood what you said here.or maybe you meant that i can reproduce the track, it just has to have additional sounds to what the construction kits already have? explain more. thank yu

confused here, can you rephrase? i dont even want to pretend like i understood and make assumptions instead i'd thought i just ask, what do you mean?

If some of the stems you release for re-use are effectively looped duplicates of the original samples that were licensed only for use on mixed tracks, then you're in trouble, unless...

If the stems you release are *only* for the purposes of a remix and you are not attempting to sub-license, then its OK. If your are attempting to sub license, then get a lawyer on the job.

If this still doesnt make sense - then best you go pay for a laywer to explain this in detail if/when the issue arises

no i dont want to pay a lawyer to explain to me lol. i rather have someone like you, teach me, a newbie about this sorta stuff. and i will try my best to try to understand what you are saying, i dont care how many posts it takes, my solution is to understand lol.

does releasing it on beatport mean sub-license for example? if not, what you mean by sub-license?
