Floating windows

Hello all,

This has probably been requested before but what would the possibility be of floating pop out windows for clip editing? Adjusting the height and zooming in and out is great but the option of a separate window would be wicked to reduce distraction.

Also, a separate mixing window would be awesome to ala logic.

you misunderstood this daw, this is 1 window daw, this is what it is good about. if you like to work on 10 windows, get sonar or cubase.

You misunderstood this daw, Live costs the same as Cubase or Sonar so it should be capable of the same high end flexibility. If you're content with a program not being up to spec with its' competitors - especially considering its' price tag, then go use Garageband. There are a lot of things that Live should have updated or thought through thoroughly before integrating. That's called being content with complacency.

Where do you can go and pull a sample from a track and it's automatically inside a sampler and ready to use?

Hey !!! You can't compare other DAW's with Ableton.

By the way,..., I switched from Cubase because of it's inflexibility.
All it really has is some audio editing features and more midi options in piano roll.

But you can live without them and I think that some will be coming soon to Live too.

Logic will do all of this - videos below. It will also do the "Slice to midi" function in Live.

Logic will do a lot of what M4L does (and has for years.) - and it comes built in, no upgrade required. It is capable of wayyy more than most people realize.
You can make Anything with a knob, slider or fade automate Anything else with a knob, slider or fader. You can have an infinite amount of channel strips or effects that automate an infinite amount of channel strips or effects. You can build your own customizable and fully real-time automtable arpeggiator. You can build your own MIDI effects, you can basically transform any MIDI data into any other type of MIDI information you want.
You can build your own step sequencer - Logic will do pretty much everything Live does - and with wayy more flexability.

I don't understand why you guys are content with Ableton not making Live more flexible. What is wrong with Ableton becoming better?
